A CRITICAL PRONGHORN BOTTLENECK IS NOW PROTECTED FOR THE LONG HAUL.
A narrow passage in a 150-mile migration just got durable protection.

Conservation partners secured a permanent easement over 169 acres at a pinch point in the Path of the Pronghorn, one of North America's longest remaining large-mammal migrations.
WHAT HAPPENED
The protected tract covers 92% of the private acreage within the bottleneck and includes 1.3 miles of river, 104 acres of wetlands and more than 60 acres of sage-grouse habitat. Wyoming also formally designated the corridor, adding a planning layer around the route.
WHY THIS IS HOPESLOP
Migration routes often fail at their narrowest point. Protecting a small but irreplaceable passage can keep a 150-mile seasonal journey functioning for thousands of animals.
