A CUSTOM mRNA CANCER VACCINE CUT MELANOMA RELAPSE OR DEATH BY 42%.
One tumor. One recipe. A 42% lower relative risk.

The INTerpath-001 trial tested a custom mRNA therapy designed from each patient's tumor mutations alongside standard pembrolizumab after surgery for stage IIB-IV melanoma.
WHAT HAPPENED
After a median 24.6 months, the combination reduced the risk of recurrence or death by 42% (HR 0.58, 95% CI 0.45–0.75; p<0.001). At two years, 82% were alive without recurrence versus 70% on pembrolizumab alone. The 1,137-patient trial was run across 157 sites in 25 countries.
WHY THIS IS HOPESLOP
This is not a universal cancer cure and regulatory approval is still pending. It is a large randomized phase 3 result showing that personalized tumor information can be turned into treatment at meaningful scale.
